God Still Does Miracles

God Can called us back to a simple but powerful belief: God is still able to do what only God can do.

A miracle goes beyond ordinary human limitations and demonstrates the direct intervention and power of God. Scripture repeatedly shows us a God who is not confined by nature, time, resources, circumstances, governments, economies, or human limitations. The God who performed miracles throughout Scripture has not changed.

But the message also addressed what happens when we have been waiting for our own miracle.
In John 20, Thomas said he would not believe Jesus had risen unless he saw evidence for himself. Jesus eventually appeared to Thomas and responded directly to what Thomas had said he needed. But Jesus also said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

We have to be careful not to make receiving a miracle the condition for believing in God's power. When something hasn't happened yet, disappointment can slowly turn into discouragement, doubt, and eventually unbelief.

Our faith cannot be determined solely by what we have or have not seen.

God hears. God sees. God is present. And something not happening yet does not mean God is unable to do it.

Our confidence remains simple: God can.
