The Blessing of Belonging challenged us to reconsider what it really means to be part of the Church.

The Church is not simply a place we attend. Scripture describes believers as members of one body, with Jesus Christ as the head. That means our connection to the body matters, and each person's participation affects the health of the whole.

Pastor Jordan challenged the mindset that allows us to consume spiritual experiences without contributing to the life of the body. There may be seasons when someone is prayerfully searching for where God wants them planted, but there is a difference between searching and continually attending everywhere while committing nowhere.

Biblical belonging goes deeper than showing up on Sunday. The New Testament describes believers serving, encouraging, giving, praying, discipling, using their gifts, and carrying one another's burdens.

Belonging also requires relationship and vulnerability. Galatians 6 tells us to carry one another's burdens, but others cannot help carry something we never communicate is heavy. Past hurts can make vulnerability difficult, but God's design was never for us to suffer silently and walk through life alone.

There is a blessing in belonging because God uses His people to strengthen, encourage, support, and help one another become more like Jesus.
